AnnaBelle Green, 97, of Hicksville, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville, Ohio. AnnaBelle was born August 21, 1925, in Hicksville, Ohio, daughter of the late Lewis and Florence (Wheeler) Oaks. She was a member of the class of 1942 at Hicksville High School where she graduated as co-valedictorian. AnnaBelle married Loren E. Green on August 22, 1969, and he preceded her in death on January 26, 2004. She worked at Harlan Cabinets in the accounting department for 31 years, retiring in 2002. AnnaBelle previously worked at W.L. Johnson Construction Company for 23 years and the Hicksville Bank. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hicksville, Ohio, where she served as Sunday school and church treasurer and secretary of the administrative council. AnnaBelle was also a member of the Hicksville Historical Society and 8 ^th Air Force, 452nd Bomb Group Auxiliary. AnnaBelle also served as secretary of the Hicksville Chapter of the American Red Cross, scheduling blood donors for many years. AnnaBelle had a passion for history and enjoyed studying genealogy, as well as being an avid reader.  She also worked crossword puzzles on a daily basis and enjoyed solving them.

Surviving is her nephew, Jeff (Kathy) Green; great-nephew, Michael (Colleen) Green; great-niece, Lisa (Brad) Lawson, and many close cousins. AnnaBelle was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loren Green; brother and sister-in- law, Galen and Martha Green; two nephews, David Green and Eric Green.

Visitation for Anna Belle will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor David Yinger officiating. Interment will follow in Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville, Ohio.
