Betty K. Wonderly, 93, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away in the early morning hours Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Vancrest of Hicksville.  Betty was born July 19, 1929, in Montpelier, Indiana, the only child of William F. and Bessie (Snodgrass) Schuller.  She was a 1947 graduate of Defiance High School, and then continued her education at St. Vincent Hospital Nursing School.  In the Fall of 1949, while square dancing with friends, she met Donal L. Wonderly, and they united in marriage three short months later on December 3, 1949, in Hicksville.  In addition to being a homemaker and supporting her family, Betty enjoyed a fulfilling nursing career, working for both Dr. Claude Hitt and Dr. Victor Boerger.  She was a devoted member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hicksville.  Betty enjoyed wintering in central Florida with Donal for over 30 years.  She also enjoyed nature, including feeding birds and gardening.  She loved her family, and the time spent with her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Donal; five children, Pamela Diehl of Hicksville, Elizabeth "Jane" Craig of Pomeroy, Ohio, Catherine (Gary) Bradshaw of Hicksville, Victor (Kathleen) Wonderly of Hicksville, and Jerry Wonderly of Hicksville; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Wonderly; and an infant daughter, Beth Ann Wonderly.

In honoring Betty's final wishes, there will be no public visitation or services held at this time.  The family will have a private gathering at a later date.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home & Crematory, 706 Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526.
