Billie Jean Yanez, 79, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Vancrest of Hicksville. Billie was born January 12, 1942, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, daughter of the late Merl J and Gertrude A. (Monaghan) Holland. She graduated from Cerritos High School in 1959, and Cerritos College in 1962. Billie married Thomas Yanez on May 17, 1967, and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2020. She worked as an Executive Secretary for Driggs Corporation in Maryland for ten years. In her free time, Billie enjoyed music, art, reading and playing bridge.

Billie is survived by her two children, Thomas Yanez of Columbia, Maryland, and Lori Rae Ann (Rodney) Dubuisson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two grandchildren, Thomas J. Brown of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Laura Ann Yanez of Hicksville, Ohio; one great-grandson, Merl Yanez of Hicksville, Ohio; one brother, Danny (Mindy) Holland of San Luis Obispo, California; one son-in-law, Michael (Tracy) Brown of Angola, Indiana; and one daughter-in-law, Suana Schoen of Tampa, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Thomas Yanez.

To honor Billie's wishes, there will be no visitation or services held at this time. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio.
