Connie L. Morton, 73 years of New Haven, Indiana, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Connie was born May 4, 1951, in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Hiram V. and Rita C. (Moser) Stauffer. She was a 1969 graduate of Hicksville High School. Connie married John Morton on June 15, 1991, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he survives. She was employed at Lincoln National Life for many years, retiring as an Executive Secretary in 1993. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven. Connie enjoyed living lake life at Wall Lake. She found immense joy in working in her yard. Connie loved to surf the web and shopping. She was a Ham Radio Operator with the call sign of K9MCL. Connie was fond of all pets, especially her dog Tiffy.
Surviving is her husband, John of New Haven; one brother, Larry Stauffer of Hicksville; brother-in-law, Mark (Mary Jo) Morton of Hudson, Indiana; two nieces, Lisa Stauffer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Erin (Jaime) Garzon of Fort Wayne; two nephews, Greg Stauffer of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Josh Morton of New Haven, Indiana; She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation for Connie Morton will be held Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville. Funeral Mass for Connie will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 940 Powers Street, New Haven, Indiana with Father Nathan Maskal officiating. Interment services will follow at 2:30 p.m., Monday, in Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville, Ohio.
