Debra Walters, 68 years, of Hicksville, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Deb was born September 1, 1957, in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edwin and Mary L. (Proxmire) Fogle. She was a 1975 graduate of Fairview High School. She married Eddie Walters on December 2, 1994, in St. John Lutheran Church, Hicksville, and he survives. Deb was an office manager for the Ohio State Extension Office, Defiance County, retiring in 2022. Prior to this, she was employed by Terra International in Mark Center. Deb’s house was rarely quiet as her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren often filled her days and brought her the greatest joy. Her favorite place in the world was her home with her family around. She was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed hosting, preparing meals and spending quality time with family and friends. Deb spent much of her summer months in the yard and garden with Ed, growing and canning produce for the family to enjoy year-round.

Surviving is her husband, Eddie of Hicksville; four children, Jamie Walters of Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, Heather (Gannon Bowling) Blair, of Sherwood, Hayley (Randy) Speiser of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Paul (Misty) Walters of Deerfield, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Victoria (Tyler) Doddato, Karli (Braden Ratliff) Blair, Kaden Blair, Kyler (Jenna) Blair, Brynley Walters, Easton Walters and Grady Walters; four great-grandchildren, Harper Ratliff, Willow Ratliff, Lakelynn Blair and Giavanah Doddato; two sisters, Cindy (Wayne) Cook of Baltimore, Maryland and Lori Fogle of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents.

To honor Deb’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held Friday, May 8, 2026, in Lost Creek Cemetery, Farmer Township with Alex Heffelfinger, Minister, officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Hicksville.
