Dee Ann Huston, 81, of Trophy Club, TX passed away peacefully in her home on April 13, 2026. Dee was born Dee Ann Snyder to Lloyd Snyder and Irene (Smith) Snyder, February 4, 1945, at Hicksville Hospital. Dee graduated from Hicksville High School with the class of 1963. Dee was the first woman in her family to attend college. She graduated with an Associated degree in Business Administration and Finance from International College in Fort Wayne Indiana in 1967.
Dee married Robert (Bob) Huston on October 10, 1969. At a civil ceremony at the courthouse in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her beloved son, Mark, was born soon after. Dee worked and retired from Commercial Shearing which eventually became Parker in Hicksville, Ohio. While working at Parker, Bob and Dee bought the Java Shoppe restaurant in downtown Hicksville in 1981. They shared their family recipes and invited them all to gather around their kitchen for over ten years.
After Bob passed away in 2012, Dee moved to Trophy Club, Texas in 2013 to be close to her son Mark, his wife Chris, and her grandkids. Dee loved to stay busy so after moving to Texas, she continued her Scouting career as well as her membership in the Kiwanis, joined the Garden Club and became a member of VFW Post 5074 where she later became President of the Auxiliary.
Dee had a true passion and love for Scouts and Scouting. She enjoyed helping young boys and eventually young girls learn about and grow in the Scouting program. Dee earned numerous awards throughout her Scouting career including the Silver Beaver award, one of the most prestigious awards in Scouting. Dee was a few months short of 50 years in Scouting when she passed.
Dee is survived by her son, Mark Huston (Christine), stepson Terry Huston (Kathy), grandchildren, Sienna Huston and Cameron Huston and her step-grandchildren Chris Huston (Gina), Jody Langley (Jared) and Grace Hess (Brian). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Lori Mickelson (Jon), Todd Snyder (Roxanne) and Lisa Poiry (Steve) and their families.
Dee's last Scouting adventure will be on May 9th at 10AM at Fellowship United Methodist Church in Trophy Club, TX. Services are in care of Keller's Old Town Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 220 Keller Pkwy, Keller, Texas, 76248.
