Donna Marie Oberlin, 93 years, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Astral at Auburn, with her family with her. Donna was born September 6, 1932, in Edon, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank R. and Iva May (Sinderson) Friskney. Donna was a 1950 graduate of Edon High School and continued her education attending the Cincinnati Bible College. Donna married Ronald Duane Oberlin on March 15, 1953, in the Edon Church of Christ, Edon, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2019. Donna was the typical farmer's wife, doing whatever necessary to help Duane on the farm. She served as a Secretary at Hamilton High School for 24 years. She also assisted Duane in the operation of his Oberlin Real Estate and Auctioneers Inc. She was a member of the Hamilton Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School, sang in the church choir, and participated in the Women's Group. She was also a member of the Hamilton American Legion Post 467 Ladies Auxiliary. Donna loved to garden, canning the produce every year. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, sewing, and following the academic, athletic, and 4-H activities of her children and grandchildren. She also followed her son-in-law and grandsons in their Rodeo pursuits. Donna genuinely enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving Donna are her three children, Daniel D. (Deborah) Oberlin of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Deanna M. (Michael) Holden of Hamilton and Donald L. (Debra) Oberlin also of Hamilton; seven grandchildren, Dustin (Kimberly) Oberlin, Ashley (Timothy) Robinson, Chase (April) Holden, Casey (Lisa) Holden, Whitney (Ben) Kauser, Haley (Corey) Manahan, and Brady (Olivia) Oberlin;  two step-grandchildren, Aaron (Amanda) O'Connor and Jared (Britney) O'Connor; 15 great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Wynston, Eden, Emri, Jhett, June, Callie, Evie, Boone, Hudson, Cohen, Wrenn, Arleigh, Sullivan and Peyton; eight step-great-grandchildren, Cooper, Paisley, Kaison, Brayden, Bayne, Flynn, Farran and Charlotte; one sister-in-law, Ruth Friskney of Hamersville, Ohio.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Duane and six siblings, Phyllis, Frank, Victor, Raymond, Thomas, and Dorothy.

Visitation for Donna Marie Oberlin will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. in the Hamilton Church of Christ, 4045 East Bellefontaine Road, followed by her funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Scott Ailes and Jeff Alexander officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 3985 East Church Street, Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy to consider memorial contributions be made to the Hamilton Church of Christ.
