Dortha Mae Kline, 93, died early Friday November 25, 2011 at Hickory Creek at Hicksville.
Dortha was born February 22, 1918 the daughter of the late Arthur and Matilda (Breininger) Beltz. She graduated from Mark Center High School in 1936. She was united in marriage in 1936 to Berlin F. Kline. He preceded her in death in 1992.
During her life she worked at Spangler Candy Company, was a cook at Mark Center School and was also the Post Mistress at the Mark Center Post Office. She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Hicksville. She was a previous member of the VFW Auxiliary and was a 4-H Advisor. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and knitting in her spare time.
Dortha is survived by her two daughters Nancy (the late Dick) Slattery of Hicksville, and Karen (Mark) Moats of Defiance; two sons Berlin (Janice) Kline of Mark Center and Max (Lee) Kline of Rincon, GA. She has 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, two brothers Delmar Beltz of Woodburn and Byron Beltz of Sherwood.
Two sisters Ruth Gensel and Lucille Henrich have preceded her in death.
The funeral for Dortha will be Tuesday at 11:00 at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville. Pastor Jim Paulson will officiate. Visitation will be on Monday from 4:00-8:00 and also one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church, Community Health Professional Hospice or Crippled Children and Adult Society.
