Eric Murray, 48, of Defiance, Ohio suddenly passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Parkview Bryan Hospital. Eric was born February 21, 1976, in Bryan, Ohio, son of Charles W. and Judy A. (Kosier) Murray. Eric worked as a diesel mechanic at Zachrich Trucking Company, Holgate, Ohio, for the past three years. He previously worked at Service Master, Defiance, Ohio for 10 years. Eric was known by many and enjoyed being around other people. He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed whatever he did. Above anything else, he loved his kids and family. He was an avid Michigan and Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved riding his Harley Davidson.

Surviving is his mother, Judy Navaugh of Napoleon, Ohio; father and stepmother, Charles (Mary) Murray of Defiance, Ohio; four children, Xavier Murray of Toledo, Ohio, Deric Murray of Toledo, Ohio, Issiaha (Brianna) Murray of Toledo, Ohio, and Jazzmyne Murray of Defiance, Ohio; granddaughter, Lilianna Jackson; fiancée, Josie Kline of Defiance, Ohio; three siblings, Jeffrey Murray, Christina (Richard) Johnson, and Kevin (Tara) Murray. Eric was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Russell and Olive Kosier; paternal grandparents, Samuel and Mary Ann Murray; two uncles, Roger Kosier and Michael Murray; beloved dog, Oddie.

Visitation for Eric will be held Monday, April 15, 2024, from 11:00 am. – 1:00 p.m at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 N. Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. A motorcycle escort and interment will follow at Brown Cemetery, Bryan.
