Glenn D. "Jake" Keesler, 93 years of St. Joe, Indiana. Passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Betz Nursing Home, Auburn, Indiana, with his family at his side. Glenn was born on September 7, 1932, in Butler, Indiana, the son of the late Jacob and Vica (Camp) Keesler. He was a 1950 graduate of Butler High School. Glenn was a Marine Corp Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict, until his honorable discharge in 1954. He married Lela G. Beree on October 6, 1954, and she survives. Glenn was a life-long farmer. He also worked at several other locations, such as Crane Edmund Company, Walter's Locker in Spencerville. He also delivered propane to clients and finished at Vulcraft in St. Joe. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and having conversations with others.
Surviving is his wife, Lela of St. Joe, Indiana; five children Glenn Keesler of Hamilton, Indiana, Carolyn Meek of St. Joe, Indiana, Mike Keesler of Edgerton, Ohio, Terry Keesler of St. Joe, Indiana and Mary (Earl) Vanscoder of St. Joe, Indiana; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Nathaniel Keesler; two brothers, Norman Keesler, and Jake Keesler; two sisters, Opal Badman and Virginia Miller.
Graveside funeral services for Glenn D. "Jake" Keesler will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in Riverview Cemetery, Newville, Indiana with D.V. Dillinger officiating. The Hicksville American Legion Post 223 will accord Military Graveside Honors. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville.
