Jacob M. Hilty, 54, of Hicksville, died at his home Friday April 16, 2010.

He was born May 5, 1955 the son of the late Menno and Mary Alice (Miller) Hilty at Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was united in marriage to MeLinda Schwartz on March 10, 1974.

He was employed by Graber & Graber Contractors where he specialized in concrete. He was a member of the West Milford Church of Christ and served as a Deacon.

Jacob is survived by his wife MeLinda, a daughter Laura Hilty, five sons Alan, Leon, Larry (Carrie), Pete (Megan Meyers) and Lynn (Jennifer); three sisters Margaret Ann Yoder, Adeline Bowen and Mary Brandenberger; four brothers Menno Jr, Jonas, Amos and John.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Louis.

The funeral will be at the Hicksville Mennonite Church Tuesday at 11:00. Pastor Larry Weller and Dr. Brent Roth will officiate. Visitation will be at Smith & Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville, on Monday 1:00-8:00 and also at the church one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Forest Home Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the West Milford Church or to the Crippled Children and Adult Society.
