Jeanie L. Breen, 83, formerly of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Fountain Park Assisted Living in Bryan, Ohio. Jeanie was born on December 13, 1942, in Watertown, South Dakota, to the late Thomas and Cora “Evelyn” (Waldo) O'Connor Jr. She graduated from Clark High School in 1962. On January 29, 1966, Jeanie married Edward J. Breen on January 29, 1966, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2018. She was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy in life was caring for and loving her family. Jeanie was a former member of the Hicksville Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed gardening, watching birds, traveling, playing cards and bingo, bowling, sewing, and working on projects around her house.

Surviving are her seven children, Tommy Breen of Toledo, Ohio, Jeremy (Tina) Breen of Fremont, Indiana, Robbie Breen of Whitehouse, Ohio, Shawn Breen of Hicksville, Ohio, Monte (Brandy) Breen of Stryker, Ohio, Lonny (Kelly) Breen of Edgerton, Ohio, and Jenny (Jeremy) McNeal of Delphos, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild on the way. Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband, Edward.

Visitation for Jeanie L. Breen will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526. A graveside service will immediately follow beginning at 12:30 P.M. at Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
