Jose M. Cabanzo-Carrillo, 25, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023, in Defiance, Ohio.  Jose was born May 17, 1998, in San Sebastián Tlacotepec, Puebla, Mexico, son of Silvino Cabanzo-Montalvo and Dolores Carrillo-Hernandez.  Jose worked as a construction worker, building houses in the area with several Amish construction crews.

Jose is survived by his mother, Dolores Carrillo-Hernandez of Puebla, Mexico; one brother, Gilberto Cabanzo-Carrillo; two sisters, Sarai Cabanzo-Carrillo and Damaris Cabanzo-Carrillo; and his maternal grandparents, Celso Carrillo-Valiente and Catalina Hernandez-Gonzalez.  He was preceded in death by his father; and his paternal grandparents.

Per the family's wishes, there will be no public visitation or services held at this time.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home & Crematory, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526.
