Obituary

Joseph I. “Joey” Flint, 28, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away and entered Heaven on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Divine Rehabilitation & Nursing in Sylvania. He was born on January 5, 1998, in Bryan, Ohio, to Jon A. and Fannie E. (Good) Flint. Joey graduated from Bryan High School in 2017 and later attended Baker College, where he studied at The Culinary Institute of Michigan. Throughout his life he loved all sports and participated in football and wrestling in middle school and tennis in high school. He also enjoyed playing the flute and performed with high school marching band. Joey previously worked as a cashier at Chief Supermarket and Sonic Drive-In in Bryan. He was active in Boy Scout Troop 1222 in Bryan as well growing up. Above all, Joey enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing, or throwing a football with his family.

Surviving are his father, Jon Flint of Bryan, Ohio, and mother, Fannie Flint of Hicksville, Ohio; two brothers, Dustin (Danielle) Flint of Grove City, Ohio, and Joshua (Gabrielle Garn) Flint of Toledo, Ohio; two nephews, Phoenix and Xavier Flint; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Joey was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ira and Mary Ann Good; and paternal grandparents, Gordon and Kathleen Flint.

Visitation for Joseph I. “Joey” Flint will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services for Joey will immediately follow in the funeral home beginning at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Jay Mast officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Grove Cemetery, West Unity.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Joey’s family.
