Joshua A. Snyder, 35 years of Angola, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, in his home. Joshua was born June 7, 1990, in Coldwater, Michigan, the son of Garry and Judy (Gerber) Snyder. He was 2008 graduate of Tri-State Christian School, Quincy, Michigan. Josh worked for Ventra Industries for the past several months. Prior to this he was a Security Guard for the Steuben County Courthouse and had worked as a Jailer for the Steuben County Sheriff's Department. He was a member of SonLight Community Church, Angola, where he played drums in the Praise Band. Music was a big part of Joshua's life, playing drums was a gift he had. He also enjoyed drawing. Josh had a servant's heart and enjoyed helping people anyway he could. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Surviving are his parents, Garry and Judy of Quincy, Michigan; one sister, Renee (Jesus) Blanco of Coldwater, Michigan; grandmother, Shirley Stuckey of Archbold, Ohio; aunts, Linda Gerber of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Sharon Gerber of Sugarcreek, Ohio, Amy Truesdell of Hamilton, Indiana and Stacy Snyder of Angola, Indiana; one uncle, Rodney (Nicole) Snyder of Angola, Indiana and his faithful companion, his dog, Rocky. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Amos Snyder, Janice Snyder McBride and Loyal Gerber; one uncle also preceded him in death, Randy Snyder.
Visitation for Joshua A. Snyder will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in SonLight Community Church, 455 North Gerald Lett Avenue, Angola with funeral services following immediately at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tony Cioffi officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Quincy, Michigan. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Hamilton, Indiana.
