Julie J. Barker, 60, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022, in the Emergency Room of Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville.  Julie was born January 27, 1962, in Hicksville, Ohio, daughter of the late Lester and Betty (Chehi) Sprow.  She was a 1980 graduate of Antwerp High School and 1983 graduate of Indiana Vocational Technical College.  Julie married Timothy J. Barker in September of 1984, in Antwerp, Ohio, and he survives.  She worked as the General Manager and Loan Officer at Cash to Payday in Butler, Indiana, and previously at Standard Federal Bank.  In her free time, Julie enjoyed sewing, watching movies, and spending time with her family and pets.

Julie is survived by her husband, Tim Barker of Hicksville, Ohio; sister, Penny (Ron) Timbers of Defiance, Ohio; niece, Kristi O'Shaughnessey of Hicksville, Ohio; great-niece "adopted granddaughter", Johanna O'Shaughnessey of Hicksville, Ohio; brother-in-law, Joseph H. (Barbara) Barker of Antwerp, Ohio; and nephew, Joseph B. (Jodi) Barker of Antwerp, Ohio.  Julie was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Mike Sprow.

Visitation for Julie J. Barker will be held Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio.  Funeral services will immediately follow in the funeral home beginning at 12:00 Noon on Thursday with Pastor Rick Grimes officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
