Kathleen K. Horn, 83 years of Harlan, Indiana, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at Betz Nursing Home, Auburn, Indiana, with her family. Kathy was born September 1, 1942, in Harlan, Indiana, the daughter of the late Lee and Leota (Kizer) Malone. She married Robert W. Horn, Sr. on September 4, 1965, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2020. Kathy worked at Hydro-Dyne for several years and at Harris Deckcraft. She worked as a server at several area restaurants. In her younger years, Kathy enjoyed playing softball. She found pleasure in crocheting and watching sporting events.

Surviving are her eight children, Tony Horn, Robert Horn, Jr., of Michigan City, Indiana, Tammy Barr (Jean O'Daffer) of Middle Point, Ohio, Debra Horn of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Michelle (David) Bassett of Hicksville, Patrick (Kim) Horn of Leo, Indiana, Vickie Wright of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Susann Gottfried (Ryan Smith) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Schie of Hartford City, Indiana.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Sr.; son-in-law, Mitch Wright; two grandsons, Joshua Barr, and Robert Horn; three sisters, Sharon, Mary, and Norma.

Private Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Harlan Cemetery, Harlan Indiana with Bob Herman, Chaplain officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends, Tuesday February 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at North Scipio Christian Church, 23630 IN 37, Harlan, Indiana. Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville was honored to care for the Horn Family.
