Kathryn J. Wasson, 84 years, of Paulding and formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at The Gardens of Paulding, Paulding. Kathryn was born October 29, 1936 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Louis J. and Elizabeth M. (Harkenrider) Hartman. She worked at Fort Wayne Wire Die and after retirement cleaned offices. Kathryn married Norman K. Wasson in Fort Wayne, Indiana and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2006. Kathryn enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and making quilts for her family. She also enjoyed making homemade coffee cake, fudge, and cookies.

Surviving are her eight children, Chris (Roy) Smith, Kay Conrad, Beth Wasson, Janice Dillander, David Wasson, John Wasson, Tina (Ruben) Gill and Carol (Nevin) Walda; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

To honor Kathryn's wishes there will be no visitation or services held. The family will hold a service at a later date. Arrangements are in care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 230 E. Elm Street, Sherwood.

The family asks those remembering Kathryn to make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
