"Shorty" Mortorff
February 13, 1950 – June 9, 2025
Keith D. "Shorty" Mortorff, 75 years of Angola, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, June 9, 2025, at his home. Shorty was born February 13, 1950, in Angola, the son of the late Edmon and Ramona (Snyder) Mortorff. He was a 1968 graduate of Angola High School. He continued his education at Tri-State College. Shorty was a mechanic, and former owner of Kain's Service Station. After he sold the business, he worked at Smith Enterprises and was a tow-truck driver and clerk for Countryside Repair. He was a devoted member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Pleasant Lake, where he was involved in the Luke 3:11 Coat Bank Ministry. He was a member of the Orland Lion's Club. He also helped at the Pleasant Lake and Land of Lakes Lion's Clubs. Keith was an avid volunteer. He donated blood frequently. He enjoyed cars, the Green Bay Packers and his heart was always with the family farm.
Surviving is his sister, Linda Fulton of Fremont, Indiana; three nieces, Nichole Fulton, Becky (Kevin) Seiler and Peggy Schreiber; two nephews, Michael (Erin) Fulton and Wyatt Weaver; three great nieces and five great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Roger Fulton; one sister, Judy Weaver and her husband, Dr. R. Wyatt Weaver, Jr.
A Gathering of Family and Friends for Keith D. "Shorty" Mortorff will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 3365 Golden Lake Road, Pleasant Lake, Indiana. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Hamilton, Indiana.
