Obituary

Larry L. Sprow, 83 years of Hicksville, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026, in his home with his family with him. Larry was born October 8, 1942, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of the late Walter and Beatrice (Hand) Sprow. He was a 1960 graduate of Fairview High School and continued his education at Purdue University. He married Ann I. Hetrick on March 24, 1962, in Sherwood, Ohio, and she survives. A longtime farmer, Larry was employed as a Spec Writer for International Harvester for nearly 33 years, retiring in 1999. He previously worked at B.F. Goodrich and the former Dotco. Larry enjoyed being outdoors, and all that came with that, farming, gardening, hunting and fishing as well as playing golf. He also liked to play cards. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. What he enjoyed and was most important to him was following his children, then his grandchildren, in their academic and athletic activities.

Surviving is his wife Ann of Hicksville; two daughters, Sheryl (Dennis) Vetter of Hicksville, and Tammy (Bruce) Silcott also of Hicksville; five grandchildren, Alyssa (Rob) Harbaugh, Whitney (Lee) Paustian, Eric (Aubrey) Vetter, Tori Silcott and Brandon Silcott; six great-grandchildren, Anastasia, Kinsley, Matthew, Theodore, Lucy and Vivian. He was preceded in death by his parents.
