Linda Kay Grimme, age 78, of Bryan, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice Center, Defiance. Linda was born on August 18, 1947, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late William and Marjorie (McClurg) Grimme. Linda was a member of the graduating class of 1965 at Southside High School, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She went on to dedicate 25 years as a Policy Holder Service Representative with Lincoln Life Insurance Company. She briefly worked in the office at Management Unlimited before working as a secretary at Indiana University Purdue University-School of Education, Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she played an important role in supporting student teacher placements. Beyond her professional life, Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Maggie Tripodi of Bryan, OH; grandchildren, Brandon Wiggins and Chelsea Wiggins, both of Bryan, OH; sister, Beth Smith of Bowling Green, OH; and brothers, William (Judy) Grimme of Franklin, NC, and Michael Grimme of Fort Wayne, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Stan Smith.

A graveside gathering honoring Linda's life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., near the Bell Tower at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne, IN. Arrangements are in care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Bryan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Williams County Public Library- Outreach Books to Go Program.
