Linda J. Metcalf, 71, of Defiance, Ohio passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. Linda was born December 10, 1951, in El Dorado, Arkansas, daughter of the late Lenuce and Nawassa (Stephens) Coleman. She married Everett D. Metcalf, Jr. on July 11, 1969, and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2015. Linda worked as a loan clerk in the banking industry. When she wasn't working, Linda enjoyed staying home and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her two children, Theresa (Ron) Handy of Defiance, Ohio, and Everett D. (Michelle) Metcalf, III of New Iberia, Louisiana; 10 grandchildren, Zachariah (Rachel) Handy, Ashley (Justin) Wheeler, Seth (Jordan) Handy, Gunner (Andraya Casper) Ames, Logan Handy, and Jared (Hannah) Jordan; 10 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Margaret (Ann) Scercy and Robert McCaskill. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett D. Metcalf, Jr.; two siblings, Tom, and Nanette.

Visitation for Linda will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan with funeral services beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
