Lois J. Congleton, 92, of Hicksville, Ohio passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at Vancrest of Hicksville. Lois was born December 5, 1932, in Allock, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ossie and Alma (Roberts) Puckett. She married Oral Congleton on July 9, 1949, and they enjoyed 50 years of marriage until Oral's passing on March 6, 2000. Lois was a loving wife and mother, always taking care of the family and chores around the house. She was a member of the Hicksville Eagles Aerie 2556-Ladies Auxiliary, where she held various positions. Lois enjoyed collecting antiques and frequently went to garages sales to add to her collection. She liked playing Bingo, and vegetable and flower gardening.

Surviving are her two children, Roxann (Mike) Sweeney of Hicksville, Ohio, and Tim (Maureen) Congleton of Hicksville, Ohio; six grandchildren, Leann (Tom) Grant, Josh (Mandy) Congleton, Misty Giddings (Andrew Welly), Jason (Jaffa) Volkert, Cory (Emily) Congleton, and Evan (Charissa) Congleton; 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine "Babe" Jackman. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Oral Congleton; two sons, Todd Congleton and Dewey LeRoy Congleton; two brothers, Johnny Puckett and Lee "Buster" Puckett; sister, Bonnie "Faye" Griggs.

Visitation for Lois will be held Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 10;00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 N. Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio with funeral services immediately beginning at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Jack Teeple officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
