Lora A. Ruppert, 91, of Harlan, Indiana, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Lora was born May 2, 1932, in Hicksville, Ohio, daughter of the late Vernon and Wilma (North) Ruppert.  She was a 1950 graduate of Harlan High School.  Lora worked as a Bookkeeper at Guide Engineering in Fort Wayne, Indiana, for nearly 20 years, retiring in 2000.  She was a lifelong member of North Scipio United Methodist Church, now known as North Scipio Christian Church.  Lora was also a member of Rebekah Lodge Concordia #41, Harmony Odd Fellow Lodge #19, and served as a past president of the Rebekah Assembly of Indiana.  Lora was an avid reader, and she loved to travel, taking many trips with her social groups.

She is survived by her cousin and caretaker, Jack (Mary) Koch of Harlan, Indiana.  Lora was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside funeral services for Lora A. Ruppert will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Scipio Cemetery, Harlan, Indiana, with Pastor Ken Herb officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home & Crematory, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526.
