Marabeth L. Miller, 76, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Parkview Bryan Hospital – ER. Marabeth was born August 19, 1949, in Hicksville, daughter of the late Robert M. and Mary L. (Derck) Kemerer. She was a 1967 graduate of Antwerp High School. Marabeth married Henry Miller Jr. on June 20, 1969, in Antwerp, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on May 11, 2020. She worked as a housekeeper at Community Memorial Hospital for many years, and as teacher at St. John Lutheran Church Child Care Center. Marabeth was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Hicksville, where she was active with the Altar Rosary Society. She enjoyed cooking, working word search puzzles, and watching old black and white movies. Marabeth always was seeking how to meet others' needs, whether cooking, sewing or being a great friend.
Surviving are her two children, Stacie L. Miller of Hicksville, and Brad M. (Crystal) Miller of Edon, Ohio; two sisters, Barbara Shininger of Defiance, Ohio, and Lessa (James Jr.) Battershell of Hicksville; two brothers, Joseph Kemerer of Hicksville, and Thomas (Kathy) Kemerer of Hicksville; and many nieces and nephews. Marabeth was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Henry Miller Jr.; an infant daughter, Amy E. Miller; and a brother, Michael D. Kemerer.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Michael Catholic Church, 100 Antwerp Drive, Hicksville, with Father Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Hicksville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be directed to St. Michael Catholic Church.
