Martha M. Lengacher, 94, a long-time resident of Hicksville, Ohio, peacefully passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne.  Martha was born April 27, 1931, in Mark Center, Ohio, daughter of the late Mose B. and Amanda N. (Miller) Shrock.  Martha married Martin C. Lengacher on July 25, 1949, and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2005.  While being a full-time homemaker and tending to the needs of their growing family, Martha helped Martin run their family business, Martin Lengacher Construction - managing the books and taking responsibility for other various tasks.  Martin and Martha were founding members of Central Mennonite Church, and she was a current member of the Hicksville Mennonite Church.  In her younger years, Martha was an avid golfer - playing in several local leagues.  She enjoyed traveling with Martin and her family and was a talented baker – making the world's best cinnamon rolls, sugar cookies and pies.  Martha was also a talented quilter and donated several prize-winning quilts to the Michiana Mennonite Relief Sale.

Surviving are her two daughters, Christine Rae Fournier of Fort Wayne, and Patricia (Phil Helton) Gerig of Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law, Wendy Lengacher of Paulding, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Nick (Jennifer) Lengacher, Karey (Joe) Reinhard, Jessica (Eric) Black, Joel Gerig, Scott (Courtenay) McMichael, Joe (Kylie) McMichael and Cory (Leann) McMichael; fifteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.  Martha was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Martin; one son, Dennis M. Lengacher; two sons-in-law, JeraldClare Fournier and Gregory Gerig; and nine siblings.

Visitation for Martha Lengacher will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 9:00 – 11:00 A.M. at the Hicksville Mennonite Church, 237 West Arthur Street, Hicksville.  Funeral services for Martha will immediately follow in the church beginning at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jay Mast officiating.  Graveside committal services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at Yaggy Cemetery in Grabill, Indiana.
