Martha Louise Sallows, 86 years old and a lifelong resident of South Bend, Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021, at BellTower Health and Rehabilitation Center, Granger, Indiana. Martha was born March 11, 1935, in Hamilton, Indiana, the daughter of the late Rollie and Martha (Legge) Fraley. She was a 1953 graduate of Metz High School. Martha married Charles F. Sallows on August 26, 1956 and the marriage ended in 1982. Martha retired in 2015 after spending the majority of her career serving the criminal justice system of South Bend-St. Joseph County Court.

Surviving are her two children, Jill (Pablo) Herrera Sallows of Santiago, Chile, and Christian (Janine) Sallows of Angola, Indiana; four grandchildren, Jada Hall of Angola, Indiana, Addison Sallows of Angola, Indiana, Benjamin and Isidora Herrera, both of Santiago, Chile; three sisters, Clara (Allen) Musser of Sylvania, Ohio, Joyce (Larry) Ice of Angola, Indiana and Janyce (Gary) Myers of Hamilton, Indiana; one brother, Rolland (Debra) Fraley of Fayetteville, Tennessee. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Matthew Sallows; five brothers, George Fraley, Thomas Fraley, Louie Fraley, Deloy Fraley and Rollie "Gene" Fraley.

Graveside funeral services for Martha Louise Sallows will be held at a later date in Eddy Cemetery, Hamilton, Indiana. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 3985 East Church Street, Hamilton, Indiana.
