Mary Louise Platner, 81 years of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Golden Years Homestead, where she had been a resident the past four years.  Mary Louise was born March 17, 1941, in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of the late Richard and Marjorie (Howell) Platner.  She was a 1959 graduate of Clay High School and continued her education earning her bachelor's degree from Great Lakes Christian College, Lansing, Michigan. Mary Louise was a bookkeeper and bookstore manager for Great Lakes Christian College where she served for many years until her retirement. Surviving is her aunt, Thelma Platner of Fort Wayne, Indiana; several cousins and extended relatives.

To honor Mary Louise request, there will be no visitation or services at this time.  She will be interred at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Indiana at a later date.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, Ohio 43506.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Great Lake Christian College, 6211 Willow Highway, Lansing, Michigan 48917.
