Obituary

Norene Mae Kinsey, 88, of Spencerville, Indiana, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in her residence with her family by her side. Norene was born on April 13, 1938, in Spencerville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Burlen and Rose E. (Roth) Bauman. She was a 1956 graduate of Leo High School. She married Norman Joseph Kinsey on August 23, 1958, in Grabill, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2025. Norene took pride in caring for her family and creating a loving household. She always put others first and lifted family and friends up in prayer. She attended Gospel Light Tabernacle in Hicksville. Norene enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning and cooking for her family.

Surviving are her three children, Sheryl (Steven) Stark of Hicksville, Ohio, David (Gretchen) Kinsey of Spencerville, Indiana, and Sharon Kinsey of Spencerville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jared Stark, Kimberly (Timothy) Spiess, Ryan (Rebecca) Stark, Katelyn Kinsey and Sophia Kinsey; seven great-grandchildren, Levi, Elias, Faith, Olivia, Micah, Joel and David; two siblings, Marjorie Baulkey, and William (Judy) Bauman; two sisters-in-law, Janice Bauman, and Gail Kinsey; brother-in-law, Morris Kinsey. She was preceded in death by her parents, one great-grandson, Ezra Stark; three siblings, Infant Leon Bauman, Anna Louise (Robert) Slentz, Arlon Bauman; brother-in-law, Howard Baulkey.

Visitation for Norene Mae Kinsey will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio. Funeral services for Norene will begin at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in the funeral home with her son-in-law, Pastor Steven Stark officiating. There will be an additional hour of visitation at the funeral home prior to the start of the funeral. Burial will follow in Scipio Cemetery, Harlan, Indiana.
