Norman K. Schlosser, 60, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family. Norm was born April 13, 1963, in Hicksville, son of the late Carl T. and Dorothy M. (Swatz) Schlosser. He married Cindy L. Wendt on March 5, 1994, in Hicksville, and she survives. Norm worked as a tow motor operator at Arrow Tru-Line in Bryan, Ohio, for over 22 years, and then at Multimatic in Butler, Indiana, retiring in June 2022, due to his declining health. He was a long-standing member of the Hicksville Eagles Aerie 2556, where enjoyed playing pool and shuffleboard. Norm was also an avid outdoorsman, and loved to camp, fish, and hunt.
Norm is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Cindy Schlosser of Hicksville; five children, Darci (Kevin) Sprague of Hicksville, Brandi Fauver of Hicksville, Jeremy Fauver of Hicksville, Keith Schlosser of Defiance, Ohio, and Eric Sereda of Cleveland, Ohio; nine grandkids; one great-grandkid; five siblings, Terry Silcott of Hicksville, Judy (Larry) Keeley of Hicksville, Barb (Rudy) Jasso of Pioneer, Ohio, Sandy Keeley of Hicksville, and Kelly Cannon of Spencerville, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. Norm was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother-in-law, Victor Silcott.
Visitation for Norman K. Schlosser will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526. Funeral services for Norman will immediately follow in the funeral home beginning at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Susan Kronbach officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
Memorial contributions can be directed to the family to help defray medical expenses incurred during Norm's battle with cancer.
