Patricia Ann “Pat” Rensberger, age 93, of Ney, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Vancrest of Hicksville. Born on March 3, 1933, in Mark Center, Ohio. Pat was the daughter of the late Charles Brown and C. Marie (Haver) Core. She was a 1951 graduate of Mark Center High School. On March 30, 1952, she married Lawrence Ray Rensberger in Williams County, Ohio. Together, they shared 73 years of marriage until his passing on October 1, 2025. Pat was a familiar and beloved face in the community, serving as a school bus driver for the Central Local School District for more than 40 years. She took pride in safely transporting generations of children to school and sporting events. Pat was a big supporter of her grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to cheer them on in all of their activities. Pat also found great joy in working alongside her husband, proudly assisting him with his lifelong passion for farming.
Pat is survived by her three children, Barbara Ann Ford, James L. Rensberger, and John L. (Laura) Rensberger, all of Ney; five grandchildren, Jasmine (Corey) Bauer, Nick (Trisha) Fisher, Sheena (Scott) Bauer, Dillon (Alicia) Rensberger, and Dustin Rensberger; three step-grandchildren, Heather (Ben) Mavis, Sara (Bill) Fields, and Dusty (Melissa) Grine; along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; two brothers, Delmar Core and John Core; sister, Donelda Fleck.
Visitation for Pat will be held Monday, September 21, 2026, from 2:00-7:00 p.m. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood, Ohio. Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, with Pastor Dennis St. John officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Cemetery.
