Obituary

Bryan Dateline May 15, 2006 Paul Lautermilch, 77, of rural Hicksville, passed away in the Emergency Room of Hicksville Hospital, Sunday, May 14, 2006.He was a Farm Implement Mechanic and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War serving in the Combat Engineers. Mr. Lautermilch was born January 21, 1929 in Hillsdale County, Michigan; the son of Delphos Harriet (Merrifield) and Glenn Lautermilch.He married Vanda R. Phillips on October 30, 1954 and she preceded him on July 18, 2004. Surviving Mr. Lautermilch are four sons, Jim Lautermilch of Lima, Ohio, Glen (Deb) Lautermilch of Bryan, Gus (Debra) Lautermilch of West Unity, and Dan (Sherri) Lautermilch of Exeter, California; two daughters, Judy Martinez of Hicksville, and Rachel Fenter of Defiance; sixteen grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, brothers, Marion (Audrey) Lautermilch of Montpelier, OH, Junior Lautermilch of Bryan; sisters, Hazel Dietrich of Bryan, Alice (Andy) Zoll of Defiance, Ohio, and Mildred Root of Quincy, MI. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents and wife were a brother, Louie Lautermilch, and sisters, Opal Brown and Grace Davis. Funeral services for Paul Lautermilch will be held on Friday, May 19, 2006 at 11:00am at the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home-Bryan.Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, Bryan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2006 from 2:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Gifts in loving memory of Paul Lautermilch may be made to Donor's Choice.
