Rebecca A. “Beck” Berry, 75, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 28, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Beck was born May 28, 1951, in Franklin, Indiana, the daughter of the late Edward H. and Freda Mae (Peter) Brockelbank. She was a 1969 graduate of Hicksville High School and a 1973 graduate of Ohio State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education degree, with a minor in Math. Becky married James R. Bergquist on May 28, 1977, in St. Michael Catholic Church, Hicksville, and he preceded her in death on April 22, 1985. She then married David M. Berry on July 6, 1990, in Huntington, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2022. Becky worked as an accounting clerk at General Electric in Fort Wayne for over 38 years. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. Beck loved puzzles, knitting afghans, cross stitching and more than anything, spending time with her family and playing games with her many great-nieces and nephews.

Surviving are her two sisters, Freida “Fritz” Smith of Hicksville, and Kay (Calvin) Yoder of St. Joe, Indiana; four nephews; one niece; 14 great-nieces and nephews; and 16 great-great nieces and nephews. Beck was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, James Bergquist and David Berry; and by two infant sisters, Mary Francis and Victoria Sue.

Visitation for Rebecca A. “Beck” Berry will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, here the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M.. Funeral Mass for Becky will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 100 Antwerp Drive, Hicksville with Father Sahaya Clement officiating. Burial will take place at 1:30 P.M. in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
