Rebecca A. “Becky” Omo, 77, of Harlan, Indiana, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in her daughter’s residence with her family by her side. Becky was born on September 30, 1948, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Ralph L. and Rosella (Voelker) Webber. She graduated from Northside High School in 1966 and from International Business College – Fort Wayne in 1967. Becky married Paul E. Omo on November 4, 1972, in Fort Wayne, and he survives. She worked as office manager, purchasing agent and in various other roles for Bodycote, retiring in 2014 after over 20 years of service. In more recent years, Becky enjoyed attending Silver Sneakers and multiple pool exercise groups. Becky loved cross-stitching, making crafts, watching Purdue basketball, annual purse bingo with her daughter and granddaughter, and most importantly being “Nana” to her grandchildren.
Surviving is her husband Paul of Harlan, Indiana; two children, Gregg (Mandy) Omo of Ashburn, Virginia, and Krissy (Travis) Knapp of Auburn, Indiana, three grandchildren, Bryce Shively, Brooke Shively and Lily Omo; best friend, Malinda Bennett; and by her part-time care-giver and friend, Crystal Snyder. Becky was preceded in death by her parents; an infant grandson, Brody Shively; a sister, Rosie Holbrook; and by two step-brothers, Buck and Bob Webber.
Visitation for Rebecca A. “Becky” Omo will be held Monday, August 3, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio. Funeral services for Becky will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in the funeral home with Pastor Eric Bass officiating. There will be an additional hour of visitation at the funeral home prior to the start of the funeral on Tuesday. Burial will follow in Scipio Cemetery, Harlan, Indiana.
