Roberto C. "Bob" Garza, age 77, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, in his home surrounded by his family. Bob was born on April 19, 1948, son of the late Franciso "Frank" and Dolores (Champion) Garza. He was a 1966 graduate of Delphos High School and continued his education at Northwestern Business College. Bob served in the United States Marine Corp. from October 13, 1966, until his honorable discharge on October 6, 1969. On November 15, 1969, he married Aurora "Lola" Rodriguez at Delphos St. John's Catholic Church, and they have enjoyed 56 years of marriage.  Bob worked as a lab technician at GM Powertrain Defiance Foundry for 44 years until his retirement in 2006. Along with his wife, Lola, Bob attended St. Michael Catholic Church, Hicksville. He was a member of the Celina VFW Post 5713, Celina, Ohio. Bob had a passion for coaching. He coached little league baseball for 25 years, where he began the Pee-Wee league in Hicksville; junior high football for 8 years; varsity wrestling coach for 5 years.

Surviving is his wife Aurora "Lola" Garza of Hicksville, Ohio; six children, Robert "Bob" (Cori) Garza, Jr. of Fremont, Indiana, Stephanie (Brian) Hopkins of Roanoke, Indiana, Aaron (Tara) Garza of Hicksville, Ohio, Clarisa (Benjamin) Pierce of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Jamie (Christopher) Burgett of Garrett, Indiana, and Nathan (Nicki) Garza of Hicksville, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Rudy (Deb) Garza, Frank (Ondrayah) Garza, Jr., Gloria (Mike) Benson, Eddie Garza, David Garza, Joe (Anja) Garza, Belinda Murphy and Lily (Shawn) Hester.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brian Garza and one brother, Jaime Garza.

Visitation for Roberto C. Garza will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. in Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, where the Rosary will be recited at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday evening. Funeral services for Bob Garza will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2026, in the funeral home with Deacon Rod Conkle officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery, with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the combined Honor Guard from the Hicksville American Legion Post 223, Sherwood VFW Post 5665, and the Farmer American Legion Post 137.
