Ronald R. Karlstadt, 82 years of Ney, passed away peacefully, Monday, September 21, 2026, in his home. Ron was born on September 23, 1943, in Paulding, Ohio, the son of Zelma Karlstadt. He was a 1962 graduate of Bryan High School. He married the love of his life, Sharon L. Kimmell, on March 27, 1965, at Brimfield, Indiana, and she survives. Ron began his career forming R & S Truck caps. Ron then formed Karlstadt Refinishing which he ran until he retired in 2005. He was an excavator for multiple excavating companies for many years. He was a member of Farmer Center Church. Ron enjoyed throwing a line in the water and going fishing. He also enjoyed hunting fox, and deer and hunting for coon and rabbits with his beloved dogs.

Surviving is his wife, Sharon of Ney; three children, Julie (Ryan) Lacjak of Waxhaw, North Carolina, Daniel (Dianna) Karlstadt of Paulding, and David (Lisa) Karlstadt of Bryan; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by his mom, and an infant son, Todd Karlstadt.

Visitation for Ron Karlstadt will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 3:00 -7:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan. Funeral services for Ron will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2026, in the funeral home with Pastor Joel Hardman officiating. Interment will follow in Ney Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Farmer Center Church.
