Ronald E. Michael, age 82, of Sherwood, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ron was born on July 22, 1944, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of the late Philip and Eileen (Schaffer) Michael. He spent more than 40 years working in automotive body repair and had a true passion for working on cars, spending countless hours in his garage. When he wasn’t working, Ron enjoyed fishing and watching car races.

Surviving are his two children, Brian (Lori) Michael of Edgerton, Ohio and Sarah Thompson of Lansing, Michigan; four grandchildren, Alex (Kayla) Michael, Brody Michael, Skyah Ann Thompson, Mariah Kay Chippewa; three great-grandchildren, Malachi Lavell Reed, Jasiah Major Jermone Reed, and Sarai LeRose Thompson; brother, Denny (Becky) Michael; sister, Norma Williamson. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kristine Michael; twin brother, Richard Michael; brother, Clark Michael; sister, Joyce Vogelsong.

Private family burial will take place at Sherwood Cemetery. Services are in care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Sherwood.
