Ruby A. Cline, 92, formerly of Mark Center, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Kingsbury Place, Defiance, Ohio.  Ruby was born October 24, 1931, in Mark Center, daughter of the late George H. and Dora I. (Appel) Polter.  She was a graduate of Mark Center High School.  Ruby married Levon C. Cline on December 4, 1950, and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2007.  Ruby was a homemaker, raising her three children and supporting the needs of her husband.  She was also a devoted member of the Mark Center United Methodist Church where she played the piano and the organ and was also active with the church women's group.  Ruby loved music and sang in the Melody Mom's quartet, which performed at various churches, nursing homes and for many groups in the area.  In her free time, she enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, baking, and shopping.

Ruby is survived by her two sons, Robert (Diana) Cline of West Unity, Ohio, and Ronald (Kathleen) Cline of Hicksville, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Levon; a daughter, Sandra Borton; a granddaughter, Angela Cline; four brothers, Harold Polter, Gerold Polter, George Polter Jr., and Earl Polter; and a sister, Irene Etchen-Oberlin.

Visitation for Ruby A. Cline will be held Monday, November 20, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526.  Funeral services for Ruby will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, in the funeral home with Pastor Tom Graves officiating.  Interment will follow in Sherwood Cemetery, Sherwood, Ohio.
