Shirley A. Sadler, 77, of Hicksville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. Shirley was born March 31, 1946, in Fullerton, Kentucky, daughter of the late Sherman H. and Hazel M. (Harr) Fraley. She married Kelley Fairchild, Sr. on September 8, 1960, and he preceded her in death on April 8, 1998. Shirley married Charley Sadler and he preceded her in death in January 1999. Shirley previously worked at various nursing homes in Kentucky and Ohio, several factories, and retired as a bank teller at National City Bank. In her free time, she enjoyed vegetable gardening, crafting, painting, and ceramics. Above all, Shirley loved God, and her family. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her six children, Kelley (Irene) Fairchild, Jr. of Raleigh, North Carolina, Allen (Paula) Fairchild of Defiance, Ohio, Laura (Robert) Countermon of Hicksville, Ohio, David (Janean) Fairchild of Hicksville, Ohio, Tina (Adam) Allmandinger of Grabill, Indiana, and Angie (Eli) Jackson of Auburn, Indiana; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Judith Villa; brother, Charles Fraley. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Kelley, and Charley; grandson, Cameron Ruoff; three sisters; one brother.

Visitation for Shirley will be held Monday, January 8, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor AJ Swanson officiating.
