Sue E. Kemp, 84, of Montpelier, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023, at Evergreen Healthcare Center, Montpelier, Ohio. Sue was born June 21, 1939, in Carroll County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Hayden B. and Thelma C. (Lewis) Smith. She was a homemaker and a caring mother to her children. Sue was a member of Montpelier Senior Center.  In her free time, she enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, playing Bingo, and crocheting.

Surviving is her daughter, Donna (Wayne) Koch of Bryan, Ohio; three grandchildren, Michael Owens of Eminence, Kentucky, Travis Koch of Edgerton, Ohio, and Stacy (Branigan) Word of Edon, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Bronson and Chase; six brothers, George (Annabelle) Smith, Merle Smith, Vivian (Jane) Smith, Dean (Bonnie) Smith, Renzie (Karol) Smith, and Danny (Shelby) Smith. Sue was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rita Gaddis; sister-in-law, Marie Smith.

Graveside funeral services for Sue will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Brown Cemetery with Pastor Rick Stiver officiating. Arrangements are in care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, Ohio.
