Tammy D. Neilson, 62 years of Ney, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Byron Health Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Tammy was born April 30, 1964, in Grundy, Virginia, daughter of Paul and Virginia (Baldwin) Fleming. She was a 1982 graduate of Fairview High School. Tammy was a dedicated employee of General Motors Central Foundry for 25 years. She was a member of United Auto Workers Local 211. Her great joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her two sons, Josh (Missy) Neilson of Ney, Ohio and Brandon (Carley) Neilson of Sahuarita, Arizona; ten grandchildren, Malaki Neilson, Cael Neilson, Mathias Neilson, Dake Neilson, Ryleigh Neilson, Gabriella Neilson, Naomi Neilson, Lane Neilson, Liam Neilson and Levi Neilson; her mother, Virginia Fleming of Sherwood; four siblings, Freda Donley of Auburn, Indiana, Barb (Brian) Rogers of South Carolina, Joe Fleming of Florida and Rodney Chris Fleming of Sherwood. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Fleming, and a brother, Jerry Fleming.

To honor Tammy’s request, there will be no visitation or services at this time. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Bryan, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Williams Syndrome Association.
