Tyson R. Gordon, 22 years, of Hamilton, died Saturday, September 26, 2009 as the result of an automobile accident near Ashley, Indiana.Tyson was born on March 15, 1987 in Auburn, Indiana.He was a 2005 graduate of Hamilton High School.Tyson attended Manchester College for 4 years and was finishing his Bachelor's Degree at Trine University in Angola, with the hopes of teaching Physical Education and Health.An avid athlete, Tyson participated in baseball, track, basketball and cross country while in high school.While in college, Tysonran cross country at Manchester College.He also was the junior high basketball coach at Manchester Junior High School.He also coached track at Northfield High School this past spring.He was an active member of 4-H while growing up. Tyson enjoyed boating, hunting and hanging out with his friends and playing any sport if the opportunity came up. Surviving are his parents, Eric and Jennifer Gaff of Hamilton, birth father, John Gordon of Cromwell, Indiana; brothers, Bryce Gordon and Ryan Gaff, both of Hamilton; grandparents, Verna J. Glover of Hamilton, Barb and Tom Gordon of Auburn, Richard and Phyllis Gaff of Hamilton and Mike & Linda Carrigan of Destin, Florida; great-grandmother, Judy Swary of Hamilton.He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Gary Glover. Visitation for Tyson Gordon will be held on Tuesday September 29, 2009 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Life Center of Hamilton Wesleyan Church, 4001 Terry Lake Road, Hamilton. Funeral services for Tyson Gordon will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the Life center of Hamilton Wesleyan Church with Jeff Alexander, Minister, officiating.Private interment will be held at a later date.Arrangements have been entrusted to Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 3985 East Church Street, Hamilton. Memorials in the name of Tyson R. Gordon may be given to a church or charity of the donor's choice.
