Obituary

Victor T. Adams, 88, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, at his residence with his family by his side. Vic was born on December 21, 1937, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph R. Adams II and Lillian M. (Kozumplik) Adams. He was a 1957 graduate of Hicksville High School. Vic proudly served in the United States Army Reserve and was honorably discharged on May 31, 1964. Vic worked as a machining supervisor at Dotco Cooper Power Tools for 37 years. Following his retirement, he continued working for APT for an additional 10 years. He was also the proud owner of Vic's Stacks, LLC, operating the business from 2006 until 2016, when he passed the daily operations on to family members. Vic was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Hicksville and the Two Cylinder Club. He enjoyed attending antique tractor shows, collecting model John Deere tractors, and riding his bicycle. He spent many years coaching Little League baseball and took great pride in supporting his family. Vic rarely missed an opportunity to attend their activities, celebrations, and life events, always cheering them on.

Surviving is his wife, Linda Adams of Hicksville, Ohio; six children, Marcy Keesbury of Hicksville, Ohio, Colleen (Al) Saylor of Payne, Ohio, Barry (Carrie) Adams of Leo, Indiana, Brett (Amy) Adams of Hicksville, Ohio, Tylene Adams of Hicksville, Ohio, and Jolene Adams of Carmel, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen (Joseph) Keane and Mary Ann Breininger; and two brothers, Paul (Marilyn) Adams and Carl (Kathy) Adams. Vic was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Infant Paula Adams, Ruth Herman, and Luddy Keating; and four brothers, Dick Adams, John Adams, Ben Adams, and Joseph Adams III.

Visitation for Victor T. Adams will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 N. Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 100 Antwerp, Drive, Hicksville, Ohio. Additional visitation will be held at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Home Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Elara Caring Hospice or the Crippled Children and Adults Society of Defiance County.
