Zeb McKay Smith, 38 years of Defiance, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, Ohio.  Zeb was born July 6, 1984, in Defiance, the son of the late David and Brenda (Mays) Smith, Sr.  Zeb attended Good Samaritan School in Defiance and was a graduate of Defiance High School.  Zeb worked at PCS Workshop, Goodwill Industries and also at Frankie's Restaurant.  Zeb enjoyed fishing, playing card and board games and watching movies.  He was a huge Ohio State Fan as well as the Minnesota Vikings.

Surviving are his two sisters, Christina Kolb of Defiance and Susan (Dustin Schilt) Smith of Ney; one brother, David (Jan) Smith, Jr. of Sherwood as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his parents.

To honor Zeb's wishes, he was an organ donor.  There will be no visitation or services at this time.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Sherwood.
