E. Cliff Oberlin, III

Owner, Funeral Director

Cliff Oberlin is a third-generation member of the Oberlin family to serve families. He has 28 years of experience as a licensed Funeral Director. 

Cliff is a Certified Public Accountant, Personal Financial Specialist and Certified Financial Planner. He is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and the Graduate School of Business Administration at Harvard University. 

He is a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Bryan Rotary Club, Young Presidents Organization, the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine. 

Cliff is married to Lisa (Crouse) Oberlin. They have two sons, Max and Luke.

Tom Turnbull

Tom Turnbull

Funeral Director and Embalmer, Owner

Tom Turnbull is a first generation funeral director and embalmer. Tom married Lisa Neidhardt on October 9, 1982  at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hicksville, Ohio.   Tom began his career in funeral service  working at the former McKee-Miles Funeral Home in Garrett, Indiana.  In August  1984, Tom and his wife Lisa moved to Toledo, Ohio and began working for WSN Company, dba,  Neville Funeral Homes,  as a funeral director and location manager. He and his family moved to Bryan in August 2003, to be closer to their families.  He began working with the Oberlin family in July 2007. He became a partner in the funeral home in April 2009.  He is licensed to practice as a funeral director and embalmer in both Ohio and Indiana. 

Tom and Lisa attend New Hope Community Church in Bryan.   He also is a member of the Bryan Rotary Club and serves on the board for Sherwood Mutual Telephone Association.  In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his family,  being outdoors, following Bryan High School Athletics, and rooting on the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Tom is married to Lisa (Neidhardt) Turnbull. Lisa is the Office Manager at the funeral home. They have three children, Christen, who is employed at the Williams County Recorder's Office in Bryan;  Josh, who married Alexis (Bacon) and is self-employed; and Caleb, who married Emily (Grisier)  is a funeral director and embalmer at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home in Bryan, Ohio; grandchildren, Ellis and Lettie. Tom and Lisa also have a miniature dachshund named Maggie.

Caleb Turnbull

Caleb Turnbull

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Caleb Turnbull is a second generation funeral director and embalmer.  He is a 2011 graduate of Bryan High School. In December 2014, Caleb graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Following graduation, Caleb moved back to West Unity, Ohio and completed his apprenticeship as a funeral director and embalmer at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Homes. Caleb married Emily Grisier on April 18, 2015 at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Archbold, Ohio. 

Caleb and Emily attend New Hope Community Church. Caleb serves on the board for United Way of Williams County. He is also a member of the Bryan Rotary Club. In his free time, Caleb enjoys attending sporting events, beings outdoors and spending time with his family. 

Caleb  and Emily reside in Bryan with their two children Ellis and Lettie Jean.  Emily is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Northwest Ohio ESC and Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan and Montpelier. Caleb and Emily have a cockapoo, Cooper Bentley. Caleb is the son of Tom and Lisa (Neidhardt) Turnbull.

Tyler Levy

Tyler Levy

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Tyler was born and raised in Hicksville, Ohio. He is the son of Dan Levy and Lisa & Mark Biery. He is a 2011 graduate of Hicksville High School, and one of first classes to graduate from the new school building. After attending Northwest State Community College for his Associate of Science degree, Tyler went on to the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science (CCMS) where he received an Associate's of Applied Science and a Bachelor’s of Mortuary Science. In addition to his training to become a funeral director and embalmer, he became a funeral celebrant and a certified crematory operator.
   
Tyler was student body president of the fall class of 2015 at CCMS, and had the honor of receiving the Ohio Funeral Directors Association’s Leadership Award as well as the CCMS President’s Award. He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since March 22, 2017. As proud as he is of his achievements in his academics, he is far prouder of his wife Paige, and sons; Finn and Cooper. Tyler and Paige were married at the Huber Opera House in downtown Hicksville, in January of 2014.
     
They welcomed their first son, Finn Oak Levy to the world on July 8, 2016 and their second son, Cooper Ash Levy on December 22, 2019. Tyler and his family are members of St. John Lutheran Church in Sherwood. Tyler enjoys spending time with this family; being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and farming.

Steve Hillard

Steve Hillard

Funeral Director and Embalmer

Steve is a life-long resident of Williams County, Ohio. He graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1975, has a bachelor’s degree from Bluffton University and a master’s degree from Defiance College. Steve has worked for Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home in Montpelier and Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home in Bryan. He has 4 grown children and is married to Sandy Hutchinson, formerly of West Unity. Steve and Sandy are members of West Unity United Methodist Church, they enjoy attending OSU football games, traveling, antiquing and walking.

Curt Bennett

Curt Bennett

Aftercare Provider

Curt Bennett, aftercare provider, has been facilitating grief support groups for Oberlin-Turnbull since 2004. In 2009 he completed thirty-nine years in education with thirty-five years as a school counselor.

Curt is a native of Danville, Illinois. He graduated from Danville High School, Georgetown College, Georgetown, Kentucky, where he obtained a bachelor's degree and University of St. Francis, Fort Wayne, Indiana for a master's degree. Additional coursework was completed at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio.

In his free time he enjoys traveling, especially taking cruises, and spending time with his three grandchildren, Grace, Emaline, and Noah.

Lisa Turnbull

Office Manager

Lisa Turnbull is our office manager at our Lynn Street Chapel in Bryan, Ohio. Lisa married Tom Turnbull on October 9, 1982  at St. John Lutheran Church in Hicksville, Ohio. She graduated from International Business College. Lisa began her career at Syncor Pharmaceuticals, which later became Cardinal Health. After moving to Bryan, she began working for Defiance Clinic an executive assistant until she became part of the Oberlin-Turnbull family. She has three children, Christen Turnbull of Bryan, Ohio, Josh (Alexis) Turnbull of Bryan, Ohio and Caleb (Emily) Turnbull of West Unity, Ohio. She has been involved in the church as a Sunday School teacher, youth group leader, and ladies small group leader. Lisa also served as a member of the BAHEC Board. Lisa and Tom attend New Hope Community Church in Bryan. Lisa enjoys baking, crafting, reading, and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, Ellis and Lettie.

Holly Gloor

Office Assistant

Holly is a 1978 graduate of Hicksville High School. She resides in Hicksville with her husband Tim. They have two children, Tanner and his wife Ashley, who live in Dayton, Ohio and Tia and her husband Josh who live in Garrett, Indiana. Holly is the daughter of Ira Allen and Bonnie (Kees) Poper.


Holly is an active member of the First Church of Christ in Hicksville. She serves the congregation as the assistant financial secretary, and is a member of the women’s council and the church board.
In her spare time she enjoys watching NASCAR, reading and spending time with her family.

Terry Guilford

Office Assistant and Funeral Attendant

Terry Guilford is our office assistant at our High Street Chapel in Bryan, Ohio. She is also a funeral attendant whenever needed. Terry is a graduate of Defiance High School. She attended the University of Toledo. Terry married Gary Guilford on October 25, 1985. They have three children: Cassandra (Josh) Thompson of Hicksville, Ohio, Zach Guilford of Stryker, Ohio, and Ryan Guilford of Ney, Ohio. Terry also has three grandchildren: Allie, Avery and Luke of Hicksville, Ohio. Terry is an active member of the St. Isidore Parish where she serves as a lector, commentator, and Eucharistic minister. Terry enjoys reading, helping others, and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
